Sandpoint Area Seniors - SASi For good food and fun times, Sandpoint Area Seniors Inc. (SASI) creates a welcoming community for adults 50 and older! Sandpoint Area Seniors, Inc. Cost is $10.

(SASi) has a mission of providing all area senior citizens over 60 years old with nutritional meals and to serve as a gathering place and informational site for social, recreational and wellness programs. We offer exercise classes, games like pinochle, bingo, bunco, bridge, pool and more! As part of our mission, we deliver meals each week to those seniors that are homebound. Our volunteer drivers travel throughout Bonner County to bring up to five meals per week to each homebound client. Please join us for our lunch program. We serve lunch Mon-Thurs at 11:30 with reservations. Reservations need to be made no later than 9:30 the day of. For registered 60 yrs and older we suggest a $7 donation or whatever you would like to donate. For non-registered and/or under 60 yrs there is a mandatory $10 charge. Mon-Wed we offer salad bar that opens at 11:00. We also have a seasonal, once a month Breakfast Fundraiser on the last Friday of the month at 8:30am with reservations, no later than the Thursday before by 3:00pm. We have a medical lending closet to help those in need. The days and hours for this closet differ from our normal business hours and are on a first come fist serve basis.We highly recommend calling before coming. The medical closet has items such as walkers, canes, toilet risers and more. We do not accept adult diapers, hygiene products, broken items or fabric items. Medical Equipment is available Mon- Thurs only 8:00-10:30 & 12:30-2:30. We are always seeking donations and volunteers. The City of Sandpoint is pleased to celebrate the opening of the Inspiration Garden at the Sandpoint Area Senior Center!

Designed with ease of access in mind, the Inspiration Garden offers seniors and community members a welcoming place to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature. The garden also provides a meaningful space to reflect and connect, surrounded by memorial bricks honoring loved ones.

We’re grateful to everyone who helped bring this beautiful space to life and look forward to seeing it enjoyed by seniors, families, and the entire community for years to come.

Congratulations to the Sandpoint Area Seniors on this wonderful addition to our community!

What a wonderful morning at our breakfast fundraiser!

We were also honored to follow the breakfast with the grand reveal and ribbon cutting of the Inspiration Garden, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.

But what stood out to me most wasn’t just the garden or the fundraiser — it was the way our community showed up.

We had local business owners, government officials, foundation representatives, community members, fellow nonprofits, and so many people who care deeply about making our community a better place.

That is what makes a community strong. When people come together, share their resources, open doors, make connections, and invest in one another, incredible things can happen.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us, and continues to believe in the work we’re doing at SASi. We are so grateful to be part of a community that shows up.

Here’s to more mornings like this — filled with connection, collaboration, and community!
