Our Animal Control team trains to safely handle and relocate snakes in our community. If you see one, don’t approach or try to move it yourself. Keep a safe distance, keep pets and children away, and report it to Animal Control so trained personnel can handle it safely.

With summer temperatures expected to reach the 100s this weekend, please take extra precautions to keep your pets safe.

Make sure they always have plenty of fresh water and access to shade or a cool indoor space. Walk pets during the cooler morning or evening hours, and check the pavement before heading out. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

Most importantly, never leave a pet inside a parked vehicle—even for a few minutes or with the windows cracked. Temperatures inside a car can quickly become deadly.

Our pets depend on us to protect them. Please help keep them cool, hydrated and safe this weekend.
