Leadership Seminole's mission is "connecting, informing, and inspiring individuals to enhance the quality of life in Seminole County." Class 35 is a 10-month program as part of Leadership Seminole's broader annual class forums. Monthly 1-day sessions focus on timely issues in the following areas: government, arts, culture, infrastructure, public safety, human services, healthcare, education, economic development, environmental preservation, simulated society, and law/justice. Each class also creates and carries out a class project that benefits the county. Class 35's project involves refurbishing and improving the living and community areas of Recovery House of Central Florida, located in Sanford.

Let’s Go!!! Have you registered yet?

We’re getting closer to the big day, and we have five more incredible nonprofit organizations to introduce as part of our Call to Service lineup!

These organizations are making a difference throughout our community and on October 9, you’ll have the chance to meet them, learn more about what they do, and discover ways YOU can get involved.

With 40+ nonprofits all in one place, you never know what organization might inspire you to take that next step toward giving back!

Kids House - is dedicated to preventing child abuse and supporting victims and families by offering coordinated, child-friendly services from report, through treatment and resolution. As the single point of contact for child abuse investigations in Seminole County, we provide forensic interviews, medical exams, advocacy, and mental health therapy, under one roof. We also assist law enforcement and Child Protective Services, ensuring comprehensive care and helping families heal.

Shepherd's Hope - exists to provide free, quality healthcare to our uninsured community by a completely volunteer run clinic. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality medical care regardless of their ability to pay.

Be the Change Today - We provide fundraising events and volunteers for smaller 501c3 organizations.

Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka - we believe in a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We seek to put God’s love into action. Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

SafeHouse of Seminole - has been a beacon of hope and change for survivors of domestic violence since 1995. Through counseling, advocacy, and emergency shelter, we empower survivors on their journey to healing.
Our mission is clear: to ensure every relationship is violence-free.

Come meet these organizations, learn about their missions, and discover ways you can get involved!

LS35: Leadership in Action

What makes Leadership Seminole Class 35 so special is watching our classmates continue to show up, lead, serve, and make a difference throughout Seminole County.

From Leadership Seminole’s Lighter Side of Leadership, to the Gratitude in Action Luncheon supporting Rescue Outreach Mission, to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida Be Great Gala— LS35 continues to be represented by leaders who believe that making our community better takes more than good intentions. It takes action.👏

These events are more than opportunities to gather—they’re opportunities to learn, connect, support local organizations, celebrate the people doing the work, and strengthen the relationships that make Seminole County a better place to live and serve.

💙 So, LS35—keep showing up! 💛

Attend the events.
Invite a classmate.
Share the moments.
Celebrate the causes.
Support the organizations.
And, most importantly, keep putting leadership into action.

Whether you're on the stage, at the table, volunteering behind the scenes, or simply showing up to support a classmate, your presence matters.

Let's continue to see LS35 in the community—not just as a class that graduated together, but as a network of leaders committed to making a lasting impact in Seminole County.

Leadership isn't just something we learned. It's something we do.

Drop your photos out in the community showing leadership in action below—don’t forget to tag yourself and classmates! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Today, we celebrate not only the birthday of our Leadership Seminole President, Dawn Kraus, but also the extraordinary leader, mentor, and community champion she is. 🎉

Dawn leads with vision, grace, compassion, and a genuine commitment to bringing people together. Her encouragement inspires others to step forward, her example reminds us what servant leadership looks like, and her dedication continues to strengthen Leadership Seminole and the community we are all so fortunate to call home.

Dawn, thank you for believing in people, investing in leaders, and creating opportunities for each of us to grow, connect, and make a difference. Your impact reaches far beyond the moments we see, and we are deeply grateful for the heart and purpose you bring to everything you do.

Wishing you a birthday filled with the same joy, appreciation, and kindness you so generously share with others throughout the year. Happy Birthday, Dawn! 💙🎂
