πŸ’œπŸ’› Happy National Boss’s Day to our Superintendent, Dr. Tommy Hunter! πŸ’œπŸ’›

Today, we’re celebrating Dr. Hunter and recognizing the important role he plays in leading our district and supporting our students, staff, and Sanger ISD community!

Dr. Hunter leads with a student-first mindset, a genuine appreciation for our staff, and a vision for the continued success of our district. Through his support of our educators, commitment to student success, and dedication to strengthening our district, his leadership makes a difference throughout our Tribe.

But don't just take our word for it! We asked a few members of our Sanger ISD team what they appreciate most about Dr. Hunter, and here's what they had to say! πŸ‘‡

πŸ’¬ Allison Nelson: "I appreciate Dr. Hunter’s sense of humorβ€”he’s always quick with a joke or a playful trick that makes even the most stressful days a little more enjoyable! I’m also so grateful for the trust and confidence he places in his staff and for always being available to provide support or guidance."

πŸ’¬ Tony Love: "I appreciate that Dr. Hunter has always had a STUDENTS FIRST mentality with all decisions he makes. I also appreciate his love for the Dallas Cowboys!"

πŸ’¬ Trenton Bloedel: "Dr. Tommy Hunter is a true anchor for SISD, constantly bringing teachers, families, and all of Sanger together to build such a strong community!!"

πŸ’¬ Dr. Logan Lacy: "Dr. Hunter is an incredible leader who supports every student by supporting all stakeholders to achieve more than they thought possible. His example is one we should all strive to achieve."

πŸ’¬ Kristen Whitten: "Dr. Hunter has shown me what true leadership looks like, not through grand gestures, but through the little things that mean more than he may ever realize. From his uplifting emails and simple acts of appreciation to his presence in our schools and community, he reminds us that we are more than employees, we are valued, supported, and part of a family."

πŸ’¬ Jill Morphis: "I greatly appreciate Dr. Hunter and all of his support for myself and BES! His humor truly makes everything better, and we always love having him visit BES. We are BLESSED by him as a leader who truly cares about students and staff!"

πŸ’¬ Shana Orsi: "What I appreciate most about Dr. Hunter is that he leads with trustβ€”always supporting our team and holding firm belief in our mission, our decisions, and our care for those we serve."

πŸ’¬ Laccie Thomason: "I really admire how he brings humor and warmth to his work. He grasps the importance of what he's doing while still making everyone around him feel comfortable enough to open up and feel heard."

Thank you, Dr. Hunter, for your continued leadership, encouragement, and dedication to making Sanger ISD a great place to learn and work! πŸ’œπŸ’›

Join us in wishing Dr. Hunter a Happy Boss’s Day!

πŸ’œπŸ’› CELEBRATING PRINCIPAL MONTH | TONY LOVE πŸ’›πŸ’œ

As we continue celebrating Principal Month, today we’re recognizing Tony Love, Principal of Linda Tutt High School!

For Mr. Love, one of the greatest rewards of being a principal comes long after students leave the classroomβ€”when they return to share where life has taken them.

πŸ’¬ β€œThe absolute best part of being a principal is witnessing the incredible adults my students become. Nothing is more rewarding than when graduates return to share their success.”

Over the years, he has watched students who once doubted their own potential go on to become engineers, electricians, welders, vet techs, military service members, and college studentsβ€”including some preparing to become the next generation of teachers.

For Mr. Love, knowing he had the opportunity to believe in students when they struggled to believe in themselves and help shape a piece of their future is one of the greatest rewards of the job.

That same commitment is what makes Linda Tutt High School stand out. The LTHS team focuses on building strong relationships, meeting students where they are, strengthening their confidence, and helping them see that goals they once thought were out of reach really are possible.

πŸ“Έ Take a look through the photos to see Mr. Loveβ€”building relationships, supporting students, and celebrating the moments that make Linda Tutt High School special!

Thank you, Mr. Love, for believing in your students, helping them see their potential, and reminding them that their future is worth working for. πŸ’œπŸ’›

πŸ’œπŸ’› CELEBRATING PRINCIPAL MONTH | CARLY SPERRY πŸ’›πŸ’œ

As we continue celebrating Principal Month, today we’re recognizing Carly Sperry, Principal of Sanger High School!

For Mrs. Sperry, there is something in each day that reminds her why she is thankful to do what she does. Recently, one of those moments came during a meeting with a student who has faced numerous obstacles but continues to show incredible growth and perseverance.

During the meeting, the student said something that summed up exactly why Mrs. Sperry does what she does:

πŸ’¬ β€œI want to be here, because I know that you all care.”

That sense of caring and belonging is at the heart of Sanger High School. SHS offers big-time programs, industry-ready certifications, and opportunities to earn college credit, while still maintaining a family atmosphere where students know there are people in their corner.

Those who work alongside Mrs. Sperry say her investment in the success and well-being of students and staff is evident throughout the campus each day. Whether she’s greeting students at the doors in the morning, visiting classrooms to support teachers, or celebrating the small wins that might otherwise go unnoticed, she makes being present a priority.

She doesn’t just lead from an officeβ€”she works to create an environment where students and staff feel heard, valued, supported, and motivated to do their best.

πŸ“Έ Take a look through the photos to see Mrs. Sperry on the daily!

Thank you, Mrs. Sperry, for caring, showing up, celebrating the wins, and helping make Sanger High School a place where students know they have people in their corner. πŸ’œπŸ’›

πŸ’œπŸ’› CELEBRATING PRINCIPAL MONTH | DR. LOGAN LACY πŸ’›πŸ’œ

As we continue celebrating Principal Month, today we’re recognizing Dr. Logan Lacy, Principal of Sanger Middle School!

When asked about a moment that reminded him exactly why he loves his job, Dr. Lacy pointed to a challenge that became an opportunity to see the SMS family at its best.

πŸ’¬ β€œThis year, when the AC went out, I got the opportunity to watch staff and students come together to make classrooms throughout the building. Students and staff did an amazing job. They took what could have been a miserable situation and turned it into an adventure that still focused on the mission of helping every student grow.”

That spirit of working together is a big part of what makes Sanger Middle School stand out. SMS currently has 58 students serving as peer mentors, tutoring and helping fellow students succeed. Staff members also step up to lead initiatives beyond their classroom responsibilities, all to create an exceptional learning environment.

At SMS, it comes back to one shared belief: Every Action Matters.

And Dr. Lacy leads with that same philosophy. Students may know him for his high expectations and serious demeanor, but those who spend their days alongside him know there’s much more behind that serious face.

πŸ’¬ β€œHe might seem like a tough one to crack, but catch him in the hallway and you'll see him cracking jokes with our students.”

Those who work with Dr. Lacy say his high expectations come from a genuine desire to see students grow and succeed. He believes every student deserves someone in their corner, and he makes sure they know he is on their side.

πŸ“Έ Take a look through the photos to see Dr. Lacy in action!

Thank you, Dr. Lacy, for setting high expectations, supporting your staff, believing in your students, and showing every day that Every Action Matters! πŸ’œπŸ’›
