🌟 Connecting with and Protecting Our Senior Community!

Today, participated in the 19th Annual Orange County Senior Summit, hosted by Supervisor Katrina Foley in collaboration with CalOptima Health at Aliso Viejo Ranch!

Our Orange County Clerk-Recorder team shared valuable information about our services, including our Real Property Fraud Prevention Courtesy Notice program, which helps protect seniors and homeowners from potential property fraud.

🏡 Through this program, property owners automatically receive a mailed notice when certain real estate documents are recorded against their property, helping them identify suspicious activity before it goes unnoticed.

A special thank you to the organizers for bringing our community together and providing valuable resources to Orange County seniors!

Team Hugh Nguyen had a great time joining the Orangewood Foundation and other community agencies for a fun-filled Trunk-or-Treat event!

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with families, hand out treats, and spread some Halloween cheer! 🎃

This morning, my department was delighted to welcome the pre-school children of Hands Together in Santa Ana to the County Administration South Building for our long-standing trick‑or‑treat tradition 🎃🍂

I want to extend my sincerest thanks to all the participating County of Orange agencies and to my dedicated Clerk-Recorder staff for helping create such a joyful experience. Your teamwork, energy, and costumes make this event truly special and meaningful for the children.

Ninety enthusiastic little ones arrived in their most imaginative costumes, filling our halls with laughter, curiosity, and early Halloween spirit. Their excitement is something we look forward to every year, and it never disappoints.

And of course, our gratitude goes out to the parents and staff of Hands Together for partnering with us once again to bring this tradition to life.

Wishing everyone a festive and fun kickoff to the Halloween season! 🎃

🍊From the O.C. Archives: The town of Bay City, founded by Assemblyman Phillip A. Stanton, changed its name to Seal Beach in 1913 and incorporated (became a city) on Oct. 27, 1915. Stanton also founded Huntington Beach (as Pacific City) and is the namesake of the City of Stanton.

🍊Our one-day Apostille Pop-Up Shop wrapped with incredible momentum and strong community support! Thanks to the special partnership between the Orange County Clerk-Recorder and the California Secretary of State, residents were able to access state-level apostille services locally, saving time, money, and travel. 🤝

I was also thrilled to have our Clerk-Recorder on Wheels on-site issuing vital records, making it easy for residents to obtain important documents and apostilles in one seamless visit.

Bringing these services directly to Orange County truly made a difference, and the turnout showed just how essential this resource is for our community.

I would like to express my tremendous gratitude to our outstanding OC Clerk-Recorder team, the California Secretary of State team, the Clerk of the Board for notary support, the Orange County Board of Supervisors, and the County departments who contributed to this event’s success.

Today demonstrated what we can achieve when agencies come together to deliver accessible, efficient services to the people of Orange County.

The Apostille Pop-Up Shop is back THIS WEDNESDAY! Thanks to the continued enthusiasm from our community, Orange County Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen is once again teaming up with the California Secretary of State to offer this convenient, one-day service event in Santa Ana.

Join us on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the County Administration South Building (601 N. Ross St., Santa Ana) for the following services all in one place:
📄✍️apostilles
📄✍️domestic partnership registrations
📄✍️notary services

This special pop-up event makes accessing important services easier for residents across Orange County and beyond, helping save time and money while bringing essential resources closer to home.

🚗 Parking is available at Parking Lot P4, 630 N. Broadway St., Santa Ana, with the first 30 minutes free

What a beautiful day for love in Orange County! ❤️💍 I am thrilled to celebrate the success of our first-ever mobile wedding ceremonies at Ralph B. Clark Regional Park in Buena Park, helping couples begin their next chapter in a beautiful setting.

I extend my sincerest thank-you to Chair Doug Chaffee of the OC Board of Supervisors for his partnership and generosity, and to our dedicated Clerk-Recorder team for making this milestone possible!
