Thank you, Congressman Dave Min!

ANCA Orange County Chair Dr. Kev Abazajian and Board Member Garo Madenlian met today with Rep. Dave Min (CA-47) to thank him for his support of the planned Orange County Armenian Genocide Memorial, a lasting place of remembrance, education, and resolve for our community and for all who call Orange County home.

We are also grateful to Rep. Min for joining more than 100 of his Senate and House colleagues in a bipartisan, bicameral letter urging Secretary of State Marco Rubio to enforce Section 907 and withhold U.S. military assistance to Azerbaijan. The letter cites Baku's sentencing of unlawfully detained Armenian prisoners, its destruction of Armenian Christian heritage, and its continued occupation of sovereign Armenian territory.

Congressman Min has been a steadfast friend of the Armenian American community in the 47th District, across Orange County, and beyond. We thank him for his leadership and look forward to continuing our work together.

The AGBU LA Choir brings its "Love & Homeland" concert to Orange County on Saturday, October 24 at 7:00 PM, at Stambolian Hall in Costa Mesa, featuring the OC Saturday School Children's Choir. Proceeds benefit the Orange County Armenian Genocide Memorial at the Irvine Great Park.

Since its founding in 2018, the AGBU LA Choir has become one of the most beloved voices of Armenian music in Southern California: a community choir, open to all who love to sing, that performs our songs with artistry and heart. Under Choir Conductor Nektar Mirakyan, and joined by a musical ensemble led by Shushan Hakobyan, they will fill the hall with songs of love and homeland.

We are deeply grateful to AGBU, in its 120th year, for dedicating this evening to the memorial. This event helps carry sculptor Brittany Ryan's mother and child, surrounded by krunks in flight, from maquette to bronze and to its place in the Heart of the Park in Spring 2028.

ANCA Western Region and Orange County advocates sat down with Congressman Dave Min (D-CA) during ANCA Advocacy Days to discuss ANCA's policy priorities.

Rep. Min represents Orange County, including Irvine and Newport Beach—home to a large Armenian American population—and has long been a proud, outspoken champion of the Armenian Cause and a member of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues.

We thank Congressman Min for his continued support in urging President Trump and Secretary Rubio to enforce Section 907 of the FREEDOM Act and prevent U.S. military assistance to Azerbaijan.
