Samueli Design 4 students are preparing to write and illustrate children’s books, so they took their research straight to their target audience: preschoolers!
Students designed and created sock puppets, then used them to read stories to the young audience at Dickle Street Preschool.
Afterward, they helped the preschoolers create puppets of their own.
It was more than just a fun day of storytelling and crafting.
Our designers got a firsthand look at what captures their attention, sparks their imagination, and makes them light up.
Turns out, some of the best design research happens with a sock puppet in your hand!
