Calling on Head Start supporters, parents, and caregivers to make their voice heard by October 6, 2026!

The federal government has proposed potentially detrimental changes to the Head Start Program Performance Standards. These standards shape how Head Start programs operate and the high quality services children and families receive.

The proposed changes will affect health screenings and other essential services, teacher-to-child ratios, disability supports, eligibility, and opportunities for parents to lead and have a voice in their children’s education.

You have an opportunity to make your voice heard by making a public comment opposing the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM). Make your comment by October 6, 2026, and show the administration what families want protected.
