On Tuesday, I sent a message to the entire Coast Guard workforce. The Coast Guard's strength resides in our Core Values- Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty. We are stronger when we stand together.
Today we must recognize that we have shipmates that are angry, scared, and weary; shipmates who may feel as a nation we haven't fully availed the American Dream of equal opportunity and the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to all amongst us.
