In the words of Bruce Springsteen, "Keep pushin' 'til it's understood/These badlands start treating us good." That's what we do every Thursday afternoon on the La Cumbre and Micheltorena overpasses. Keep pushing.
Welcome to the Indivisible Santa Barbara group. We are part of a national movement inspired by indivisibleguide.com.

There are reports that Trump Administration Cabinet members are in town today (6/5) to discuss the Sable Oil pipeline.
Several organizations quickly put together a protest for 5:30 this afternoon. If you can, meet at the CEC Hub located at 1219 State Street, Santa Barbara. Wear RED if you can.

Great job overpass team, reminding everyone that Tuesday June 2 is Election Day!
If you haven't voted, there's still time! You can fill out your mail-in ballot and drop it at one of the County's 13 ballot drop boxes. See here for drop box locations: https://www.countyofsb.org/3265/Current-Ballot-Drop-Box-Locations-by-Are
And if you're registered, you can always vote on Election Day at your local polling place. See here for polling locations: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/polling-place
We don't advise voting by mail at this late date, but voting by mail no later than MONDAY is better than not voting at all. At this point, it is MUCH better to vote by using the ballot drop boxes or voting in person on Tuesday ... so that your vote is not delayed in the mail or postmarked too late.

We turned out for the Vote 805 Bridge Brigade on May 30, on both sides of the La Cumbre overpass. Thanks to all the folks who showed up.

Take action: Contact our Senators Padilla and Schiff and demand that they continue their efforts to defeat any reconciliation bill that includes additional funding for ICE and detention centers and that they support legislation to block Trump’s $1.8 billion slush fund. Contact our Representative Carbajal and urge him to sign on to Rep. Jamie Raskin’s discharge petition to block the fund completely.
