The Domestic Violence Center of SCV offers a variety of services to victims of violence. http://www.dvc-scv.org

The Problem

Domestic violence is a problem of epidemic proportions.

*Approximately three women in this country are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends every day. Of these, most are killed within two weeks of leaving the batterer.
*One in three women report being in an abusive relationship sometime in their life.
*Two-thirds of the residents in battered women’s shelters are children.

It’s not too late to sign up for our Hawaiian Bunco Night on Tuesday, March 6! Doors open at 6 PM. Join Child and Family Center's Domestic Violence Program as they present a mixed- media art exhibit showcasing the talents of various community members. This art exhibit will raise awareness of Teen Dating Violence.

We are in the lobby at City Hall right now for the LAST stop of our " A Walk In Their Shoes" display. It has been truly incredible to be able to go to so many different locations over the past couple weeks and bring awareness to teen dating violence. Just a quick reminder that submissions for our "Night of Expression" art exhibit are due TOMORROW and can be dropped off to our Savia location. "Night of Expression" is on Friday, February 23. This exhibit is a way for teens in our community to come together and take a stand against teen dating violence through art and media.
