An afternoon with poet Leslie Zane

Registration required; register at link in bio.

Join us for a reading of local poet Leslie Zane’s latest work, The Long View, along with a selection of her earlier works.

The Long View is a contemporary poetry collection that explores aging, memory, love, grief, anxiety, friendship, motherhood, and the quiet shocks of modern life with sharp honesty and wit. Moving through themed sections (from “Vanity” and “Distance Between Us” to “Seven Years” and “The Long View”), these poems blend intimate personal moments with social observation, capturing everything from family history and loss to illness, travel, and the strange humor found in everyday survival.

“With intelligence, humor, and formal invention, Leslie Zane celebrates connection, the natural world, and the human rites of passage we all share. I am so grateful that this book is in the world to remind us how it feels to be a solitary walker at the end of the day, and to sleep “under a protection of stars.” -- Carolina Goodwin, author of Old Snow, White Sun, and Matanuska.
