The New Mexico Healthy Food Financing Fund (HFFF) from Economic Development New Mexico drives economic development across the state’s food and agricultural supply chain while increasing food security for New Mexicans.

HFFF is accepting applications to invest in:
Food retail
Value-added processing
Food hubs, aggregation, distribution and transport
New Mexico Grown production
Climate-smart pre-production

Grant details:
Application opens: Oct. 14 at 9 AM
FY27 grant program webinar: Oct. 16 at 12 PM
Application closes: Nov. 18 at 11:59 PM
Funds awarded by: mid-Feb. 2027
Funds to be used by: Dec. 2027

El Fondo de Financiamiento de Alimentos Saludables de Nuevo México (HFFF) de Economic Development New Mexico impulsa el desarrollo económico en toda la cadena de suministro alimentario y agrícola del estado, a la vez que aumenta la seguridad alimentaria de los nuevomexicanos.

We had a great time at this morning’s Finance Fair at Santa Fe Business Incubator, hosted by the Santa Fe Economic Development Department, UpSpring, and the Santa Fe Small Business Navigator Small Business Navigator Program! It brought together bankers, credit unions and CDFIs to connect with our local small business community.

And we’re already looking forward to the next one. Mark your calendars for November 12th at The Santa Fe Scottish Rite downtown, where you can connect face to face with lenders and financial partners ready to help your business grow. We had such a great time last night at Child Care: Growing Supply, Celebrating and Elevating Early Childhood in Santa Fe, held at the Santa Fe Country Club. This free community event brought together early childhood educators, local and state leaders, and community partners for food, drinks, resources, and real conversation about recent progress in early childhood and the work still ahead to grow the supply of high quality child care for families across New Mexico.

Grateful to be in the room working toward solutions alongside Growing Up New Mexico, Early Childhood Ed & Care Dept. est. 2020, and the Low Income Investment Fund.

The Santa Fe Economic Development Department loved attending and connecting with local women owned businesses yesterday at the 7th Annual SCORE Women In Business Conference, back at the historic Scottish Rite Center. Focused on the theme “Different, Together...The Collective Impact of Small Business,” this one day event delivered ideas, inspiration, practical tools, and meaningful connections.

We talked with Navina Marks at Phoenix Business and Tax Solutions, Amy Lin at InHouse CTS, and Mariciela Leon at Luminnect about their businesses, their needs, and what SCORE Mentors Santa Fe means to them.

Today is Housekeeper’s Awareness Day, and we caught up with Leticia Bernal at Leticia Bernal to celebrate the people who keep Santa Fe’s hospitality industry running.

La Fonda Foundation supports the workforce behind Santa Fe’s hotels through free English classes, scholarships, and community programs for hospitality workers and their families.

In honor of International Housekeepers Week, they’re hosting a Housekeepers Appreciation ESL Open House today, Thursday, September 17, at their office at 102 W San Francisco St, second floor, Santa Fe. This is a no-pressure way to check things out: meet the instructor and current students, try a class with zero commitment, and grab some pizza. Current students who bring a friend get a free movie pass.

Hoy es el Día de Reconocimiento a las Camaristas, y platicamos con Leticia Bernal en Leticia Bernal para celebrar a las personas que mantienen funcionando la industria hotelera de Santa Fe.

La Fonda Foundation apoya a los trabajadores de los hoteles de Santa Fe con clases gratuitas de inglés, becas y programas comunitarios para trabajadores del sector hotelero y sus familias.

En honor a la Semana Internacional de las Camaristas, hoy jueves 17 de septiembre están organizando un Open House de agradecimiento con clases de inglés (ESL) en su oficina ubicada en 102 W San Francisco St, segundo piso, Santa Fe. Es una forma sin presión de conocer el programa: pueden conocer al instructor y a los estudiantes actuales, tomar una clase de prueba sin compromiso, y comer pizza. Los estudiantes actuales que traigan a alguien nuevo reciben un pase de cine gratis.

The first 200 families can pick up a FREE box of fresh fruits and vegetables, courtesy of Ana Luisa, La Planta and Alicia’s Tortilleria. There will also be FREE document shredding by the Better Business Bureau Serving New Mexico and Southwest Colorado and Black Dog Shredding Co., and a chance to meet local entrepreneurs and people from the comunidad at La Fogata Table.
