🎉 Big news for New Mexico! 🎉

The New Mexico Supreme Court Law Library in Santa Fe has been named the 2026 Federal Depository Library of the Year by the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO)!

This honor recognizes the library’s exceptional commitment to providing free public access to government information, preserving both print and digital resources, and serving communities across the state—especially those with limited access to technology.

GPO Director Hugh Nathanial Halpern praised the library’s vital role in connecting people with trustworthy government information, while State Law Librarian Stephanie Wilson highlighted the library’s long history of helping New Mexicans with legal research, court forms, public records, and more—dating all the way back to 1851.

With more than 175 years of service, the library continues to preserve crucial legal resources like the Code of Federal Regulations, United States Code, and United States Reports, and recently completed an inventory of more than 11,900 items in its Federal Depository collection.
