Our Airport. Our Community. Our Future.

The Santa Maria Public Airport has tremendous untapped potential to become a stronger economic engine for Northern Santa Barbara County.

My goal is to work alongside fellow Board members and Airport District staff to attract new aviation and non-aviation businesses that create stable, good-paying jobs for local families.

Aviation Jobs: Aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, flight training, aerospace technology, and aviation support services.

Non-Aviation Jobs: Manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, engineering, technology, and skilled trades.

But attracting businesses is only part of the mission. We need a plan to help them succeed.

Work as a Team: Collaborate with Board members, District staff, and existing airport businesses to identify opportunities for growth.

Build Partnerships: Connect employers with chambers of commerce, local nonprofits offering paid on-the-job training, colleges, and workforce development programs.

Attract Investment: Work with economic development organizations to bring new businesses and good-paying jobs to our airport.

Support Business Growth: Help businesses connect with available grants, incentives, and resources.

The Airport Board doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel. We need to connect the resources that already exist and make them more accessible to the businesses and people who need them.

We have the land. We have the workforce. We have the potential. Now we need the teamwork and leadership to bring everyone together.

When we put our community first, we all prosper!

With so much hate and negativity in politics nowadays, I refuse to add to it.

Sometimes people take your signs, and that’s okay. Nobody got hurt, and at the end of the day, it’s just a sign.

I’ve always been a positive guy, and that’s not going to change. I believe in bringing people together, focusing on solutions, and keeping our community first.

What an amazing night at the 78th Annual Black & White Ball, hosted by the Mexican Ladies Social Club! 🖤🤍

It was a wonderful evening filled with great conversations, laughter, and unforgettable memories. It was so nice reconnecting with old friends, seeing familiar faces, and making new friendships along the way!

A huge thank you to the Mexican Ladies Social Club for hosting such a beautiful and elegant event and for continuing this wonderful tradition in our community.

Another great night celebrating the people who make Santa Maria such a special place to call home! ❤️
