Hurricane Isaias has left its mark on Eastern Lake along Scenic Highway 30A in South Walton, Florida.

Just four days after the Category 2 hurricane made landfall near Destin on October 9, 2026, this drone flyover captures the dramatic changes to one of Florida's rare coastal dune lakes.

The storm washed away a small dune, shifted massive amounts of sand, and rearranged the landscape where Eastern Lake meets the Gulf of America.

Coastal dune lakes are naturally dynamic ecosystems, and hurricanes are among the powerful forces that shape their shorelines. This footage offers a unique look at how quickly nature can transform a familiar landscape.

🎉 Great News for 30A! The Western Lake Bridge Is Finally Complete!

After a long wait, the bridge over Western Lake is finally complete!

This is welcome news for residents and visitors who have been patiently waiting for the project to wrap up. It's great to see this important piece of 30A infrastructure finished.

Thank you to everyone who worked to get this project across the finish line!
