The Santee Fire Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the patrons, vendors, and supporters who came out and braved the rain to make the 2nd Annual Santee Fire Department Barbecue Festival such a success. Your support, dedication, and community spirit truly shined through despite the weather, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who participated, served, and celebrated with us. Events like this would not be possible without the commitment of our amazing vendors and the continued support of our community. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year for an even bigger and better festival!
A special thanks to the Santee Fire Department Development Board, the Santee Fire Commissioners and last but not least our dedicated Fire Chief Edward Barnett Jr and ALL our firefighters! See you next year!

It is important for your Santee Fire Department to have a good working relationship with the South Carolina State Fire and the state fire marshal’s office because it ensures better coordination in enforcing fire codes and safety regulations. This partnership helps with consistent training, inspections, and investigations, improving overall fire prevention efforts. The state fire marshal’s office can provide additional resources and expertise during large-scale emergencies or complex fire investigations. A strong relationship also ensures accurate reporting and data sharing, which supports statewide fire safety planning. Ultimately, this collaboration helps protect lives, property, and ensures communities are better prepared for fire-related emergencies.
