We had a blast with Temple Sinai, Sarasota, FL at our PJ Partner Program this Sunday! Families learned about inner and outer strength, as well as Jewish and secular heroes. We read Zishe the Strongman together and made family crests/shields.

We had a great time celebrating with the community at the PJ Library Passover Picnic on Sunday! Families decorated Elijahโ€™s cup, made beaded bracelets, colored Passover pictures, etched out designs on paper, and kids searched the park during the afikomen hunt.

Thanks to the wonderful community organizations who joined us in hosting this wonderful afternoon with the community:

Chag Purim Sameach!

Ready to celebrate with simcha this Purim?

Simcha (pronounced seem-CHAH) is Hebrew for joy, and it can also mean the silliness of Purim.

Here are some popular ways families celebrate:

๐ŸŽช Attend a Purim carnival, complete with costumes.

๐Ÿฒ Get together with friends for a delicious meal.

๐ŸŽ‰ Have a family celebration with singing, dancing, and games.

๐ŸŽญ Itโ€™s also customary to act out the Purim story in a spiel (Yiddish for "play"). A Purimspiel can include costumes, jokes, funny voices, puppets, and even parodies of well-known songs.

Tell us how youโ€™re planning on celebrating this year!
