Developers are moving to demolish the Breakfast House, Siegfried’s, and other cottage type business properties along Fruitville that showcase old Sarasota charm… to put up… you guessed it… more apartments.

I’m not anti-growth, but I am anti-paving over our local identity.

Proposed apartments would replace Breakfast House and more on Fruitville | Your Observer Adjacent to Gillespie Park, a 324-unit building would cover an entire block on Fruitville Road between North Osprey and Gillespie avenues.

This dude reminds me of the Sarasota I first experienced when I moved here in 2006. He was a staple in downtown. Never bothered anyone, was just there to play his music.

I had wondered what had happened to him, but learned recently that he passed away a couple years ago.

The Turning Point Club America Chapter at Suncoast Poly Tech H.S. has put out 5 “hero” trees across campus allowing students to pick an active duty service member to send a holiday package to. GREAT WORK SPHS Students & Teacher Mrs. Vanston!

Once again, the adult liberal loon activists fighting against the kids forming clubs - even calling the student members ‘Nazis’ or ‘tomorrow’s school shooters’ along the way - are exposed for being not just vile, but ridiculous.

Please excuse the personal privilege taken here... This will be long and feature a lot about 'me' due to sharing my experiences, BUT I think there is a lot of value for those who want to understand how things work and narratives are formed in our community.

Also, for the record, I normally would not address any of these accusations (because I do not answer to the lunatics and my job isn't to feed the zoo animals)... BUT.... I think this is a great opportunity to expose the media & left for just how incompetent and crazy they are.

==WHAT'S GOING ON - TURNING POINT MELTDOWNS

1. LOCAL MEDIA is leading off the evening news going bananas that I am enjoying and engaging the 1st Amendment by sharing public information, with the public, like it's some urgent breaking news. I'm literally sharing publicly available content. Lazy and embarrassing. Somehow the current crew of reporters have caused me to miss the old days of: Jeremy Wallace and Zac Anderson. (Never thought I'd say that)

2. LOONEY LIBERAL ACTIVISTS are coming up with some wild accusations that have zero basis in fact - Here are some of my favorites: I'm on salary with Turning Point U.S.A., paying high school kids $1,000 to start TPUSA Chapters in High Schools, or even... get ready... creating and managing High School Club social media sites. None of that is even remotely true. They've lost their mind.

3. RADICAL SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER TOM EDWARDS (who is also now the Executive Director of Project Pride and is who stated that Trump Voters/Supporters are N***s) is very upset I am posting public information on social media. Maybe Tommy should consider trading the drag queen shows he hosted for toddlers, and instead sit in on some civics classes about the First Amendment. At least Tom validates that there is a need for Turning Point Clubs In Sarasota County, as he could use some of their instructional materials on the U.S. Constitution. What a bozo.

Again, I share all this because it helps give the full context of the lunatics that are among us and empowered by the media to push fabricated narratives.

== THE TRUTH - WHY I SHARE TURNING POINT INFORMATION

It's simple:

1. I knew Charlie Kirk, and even though I rarely get emotional or sad, the day he was assassinated...I was pretty hard hit. Then day after I was basically worthless staring like a zombie at news stories and analysis in sorrow. Either that day or the next, I decided I wanted to spend my time being productive vs. grieving, so I sought a project and landed on helping Charlie accomplish one of his life goals (TPUSA chapters in every school in America) right here in in little'ol Sarasota County. I have a platform (whether you love me or hate me) that I realized I could leverage to help - Hence the social media posts.

2. I found out that the club process is super awkward. To set up a Turning Point U.S.A. Club a student has to step up to lead it and a teacher has to agree to sponsor it. Thus, we are forcing Conservative students to shop around to various teachers (who according to all data out there, are most likely liberal). Instead of putting kids in that position, I figured I could help parents of students interested in the club (I avoid communicating with students) connect with teachers willing to sponsor. Hence the tracker and call for people to step up. Parents started posting their child wanted to start or join a club, teachers posted they'd be willing to sponsor them. It worked and it avoided putting kids in an awkward spot that they naturally thought could impact their academics. (Asking/being rejected by a liberal teacher).

3. The public appreciated/wanted more of the content I was posting. Over 2 million views in the first week or so locally, and I've had countless people from countless states ask me to come do the same in their area (I don't have the bandwidth - Gotta focus on my day job lol).

4. I believe in Turning Point's mission. Having an outlet for students to discuss issues like freedom, the U.S. Constitution, free markets, limited government, etc. and encouraging kids to peacefully debate is a MAJOR WINNER for those who... get ready... opt-in to that activity (no one is forced to join the OPTIONAL CLUB). I want my kids to be members when they are old enough, I hope as many of their peers join too. What a new BENEFIT to the community to have tomorrow's leaders engaged in learning MORE CIVICS in school.

5. It's effective - Sarasota County is CRUSHING every other county in the country (there are like 3,000 counties nationwide) when it comes to how many clubs and how fast they are being created. That's AMAZING. The posts (which I spend maybe 5 minutes every couple days to post) are expediting the creation of what the Libs are trying to block & shutdown. Too bad for them.

== GONG FORWARD - AM I GOING TO KEEP POSTING INFORMATION ABOUT TURNING POINT IN SARASOTA COUNTY ON MY PAGE?

Honestly - My hope has been that every school in our area gets a Turning Point Club. There's one more High School holding out, but that school sounds promising at this point. Once that happens, I was planning on moving on to other projects.

With that said:
1. Now that adult professional liberal activists are openly bullying & attacking HIGH SCHOOLERS, with their openly admitted goal of shutting down the clubs, it's motivating me to keep posting and calling them out. I'd rather have them attack me vs. attacking the kids/clubs. I've got thick-skin and frankly, if the lunatics are attacking me, it validates that I'm doing a good job.

2. I'm a firm believer in that if the radical left is going insane over something, we are doing something right and we need more of it. They can't control themselves and are current obsessed with trying to shutdown all momentum for Turning Point (or Conservatives for that matter). Too bad.
