Safrema Energy has been named Winner of 2013 TiE50 “Top Startup” Award at TiEcon 2013, the world’s largest conference for entrepreneurs. Safrema Energy was honored on Saturday, May 18 at the Convention Center in Santa Clara, Silicon Valley, California.

Speaking to a global audience at the awards ceremony during TiEcon 2013, the conference Chairman and President of TiE Silicon Valley, Mr. Venkatesh Shukla said that “the TiE50 program screened 1142 companies from 24 countries and 50 best-of-breed companies were announced winners.”

The OES brings together countries to advance research, development and demonstration of conversion technologies to harness energy from all forms of ocean renewable resources, such as tides, waves, currents, temperature gradient and salinity gradient for electricity generation, as well as for other uses, such as desalination, through international cooperation and information exchange.
OES consists of 20 member countries (as of Feb. 2013). Each country is represented by contracting parties – who nominates participants in the OES Executive Committee. Participants in the OES are specialists from government departments, national energy agencies, research or scientific bodies and academia, nominated by the Contracting Parties.
