As the Immediate Past President of the Arts Schools Network, Dr. Frost has provided visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and a steadfast commitment to advancing excellence in arts education. Throughout her distinguished career as an educator and administrator, she has championed opportunities that empower students, support educators, and strengthen school communities through the transformative power of the arts.

From her leadership as Principal of Booker Middle School, a nationally recognized visual and performing arts school, to her current role as Executive Director of Student Services for Sarasota County Schools, Dr. Frost has remained committed to nurturing the whole child and ensuring that every student has access to meaningful educational experiences. Her influence extends well beyond her own district through her mentorship of educators, advocacy for innovative leadership, and service to the national arts education community.

It was a beautiful day for a launch! The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket took off from Cape Canaveral this morning and it was a beautiful sight enjoyed by students and staff, right over Building 17!

It's National School Bus Safety Week! We want to remind everyone that keeping students safe is a shared responsibility. 🚌

Drivers, please slow down near school buses, stay alert, and obey flashing lights and stop arms. Students should wait in a safe location, follow their driver’s instructions, and always cross where the bus driver can see them.

We are also grateful for our bus drivers and Transportation team members who safely connect students with their schools each day. Thank you for helping our students start and end the school day with care! 💛

School lunch took center stage across Sarasota County Schools during National School Lunch Week! 🎪🍎

This year’s theme, “The Greatest School Nutrition Program on Earth,” gave us a fun opportunity to celebrate the dedicated Food & Nutrition Services staff who serve more than 7,900 breakfasts and 20,900 lunches each day.

Throughout the week, Superintendent Terry Connor, district leaders, principals, and other special guests joined cafeteria teams at schools across the district to help serve meals and connect with students.

Thank you to our Food & Nutrition Services team for keeping students nourished, cared for, and ready to learn. Here are a few moments from the week! 💙
