Lake Waynoka is a property owners association governed by a nine person board of trustees. This board is elected from and by the property owners in good standing, and meets each month to update and inform members on current issues and future plans. Our community allows lot ownership for member status, as well as ownership for intention to build. Membership status takes just one lot and lots may have multiple owners. Water and sewer lines travel near all roads and allow for hookup throughout the lake. With 2,400 acres, more than 4,000 lots, over 50 miles of paved roads and 700 homes, Lake Waynoka is a perfect place to build a full time residence, the relaxing summer retreat or your gateway into healthy and soothing activities. Staffed by full time administration, recreational, maintenance, security and police department, our community provides superb amenities to the entire community. A 24-hour private gate, operated by our security and police department, monitors access to the lake and in addition patrols the entire lake in intervals, giving property owners peace of mind. Lake Waynoka is located in the Eastern Brown School District, which includes elementary locations in Russellville and Sardinia and both middle and high schools only a short drive away. Residents allow their children the opportunity to attend an outstanding school district right in their own backyard. Eastern Brown schools have a long tradition of being recognized in academics, activities and sports. While a number of our residents choose to travel to their careers in Cincinnati, Milford, Hillsboro and Maysville, many others maintain their careers within Brown County with employers such as Stanley Tools, Pepsi, Rumpke, Brown County Regional Health Care and others. Our relaxed residential community makes maintaining a superior career possible.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: COMMUNITY-WIDE WATER SERVICE INTERRUPTION

Wednesday, October 21, 2026

The Waynoka Regional Water and Sewer District (WRWSD) would like to notify all Lake Waynoka residents of a planned water service interruption on Wednesday, October 21st, beginning at 8 am, lasting approximately four hours.

Our Water Department has identified a leak near 982 Waynoka Drive that cannot be isolated without temporarily shutting down the entire water distribution system.

Our team, with assistance from Utter Construction, will be working diligently to complete the necessary repairs and restore water service as quickly as possible.

What Residents Need to Know:

Water Service: The entire community will experience a temporary water service interruption lasting approximately four hours.

Water Storage: The water tower will be filled prior to the shutdown and isolated during repairs to minimize water loss.

Precautionary Boil Advisory: As a precaution, we are requesting a boil advisory in the event that adequate water pressure cannot be maintained during the repair. We will provide additional information regarding the advisory and notify residents when it is lifted.

Preparation: We encourage residents to plan ahead and store enough water for drinking, cooking, and other essential needs during the interruption.

We understand that interruptions to water service can be inconvenient, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to maintain and improve our community's water infrastructure.

Please watch our page for additional updates regarding the repair, restoration of service, and any necessary boil advisory.

Thank you for your cooperation!
