A resident escaped an early morning fire in Saucier Monday morning. Harrison County Fire Rescue along with CRTC responded to the fully involved structure fire around 3 AM. The cause is undetermined at this time.

Harrison County Fire Rescue 🚒 and the Harrison County Sheriff's Office 🚔 went head-to-head on the kickball field!

Our teams traded in the radios, trucks, and uniforms for a little friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and just a bit of trash talk—all in support of the American Heart Association. ❤️

🚒 ON THURSDAYS, WE’RE THANKFUL 🚁

Today, we’re giving a HUGE shoutout to the fire departments and other first responders who help make our landing zones safe every time we come into their communities. ❤️

When you hear the helicopter overhead, there’s a whole team on the ground making sure we have a safe place to land.

🚒 Establishing and securing the landing zone
🚧 Controlling traffic and keeping bystanders clear
💡 Providing lighting when conditions require it
🌳 Identifying and communicating potential hazards
📻 Maintaining communication with the flight crew
🚑 And helping coordinate the movement of patients and crews

Landing a helicopter isn’t just about finding an open field. Power lines, trees, wires, loose debris, vehicles, terrain, weather, and people can all create hazards that have to be identified and managed.

That’s where our fire department partners make a difference.

Your work may happen before we ever touch down, but it directly impacts our ability to safely reach our patients. We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re thankful for you. 🙌

To every fire department that has secured a landing zone for us—thank you for helping us get there safely so we can do what we came to do: take care of the patient. 🚁❤️

HCFR responded to an accident that burned up a car and sent two people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The crash happened on Canal Rd north of Landon Rd Monday afternoon. The road was closed for a short period as firefighters extinguished the fire and medics took care of the injured.

HCFR responded to a structure fire this morning in Saucier. Harrison County Fire Rescue units brought the fire under control in about fifteen minutes. Two people were home at the time of the fire and no injuries reported.

Multiple fire departments across the coast responded to a number of homes that were struck by lightning this morning . A storm system went through the area with extremely active lightning, which caused a number of emergencies. Harrison County Fire Rescue along with CRTC Fire crews, and Gulfport Fire Dept. responded to a two-story home struck by lightning with heavy fire showing upon arrival. The residents were able to escape uninjured from the fire. The fire which was reported around 2:30 this morning was one of multiple structures across the coast that were struck by lightning and burned. This fire was in the Windance subdivision.

Harrison County Fire Rescue along with CRTC working a structure fire on Mercedes Ln., Friday afternoon. One firefighter received minor burns and heat related injury, but was treated on scene and released. The fire which destroyed the home is under investigation.
