Yesterday, Savage Volunteer Fire Company was honored to participate in the 9/11 remembrance ceremony.

Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced a horrific day that changed everything for so many. It was a day that forever changed our country, our communities, and countless families.

September 11th also holds a very personal connection to our department. One of our members lost his grandfather at the Pentagon that day. His loss is a reminder that behind the history and the numbers are real people, real families, and stories that must never be forgotten.

We remember all the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the brave first responders who ran toward danger to help others.

We will always remember. 🇺🇸
