Visit the Municipal Archives at the Stonewall Block Party on June 25th from 3:00-10:00pm to learn about the Proud Savannah History Project, our local history initiative to collect, preserve, and provide access to the history of Savannah’s LGBTQ+ community, as told in their own words and voices. Stop by our information table to find out what we’ve been up to, how you can get involved, or contribute your voice on the spot. The Stonewall Block Party is hosted by the First City Pride Center in commemoration of the Stonewall Inn uprising of 1969, a turning point in the gay rights movement, and in celebration of the Center’s 5th anniversary.
