The 258th Movement Control Team (SPARTANS) is a detachment of Soldiers stationed on Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF) in Savannah, GA.
The detachment provides commanders within 3ID with visibility of cargo and personnel as they are moved around the country.

Please join us on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at 4:30 p.m. (EST) for our first Townhall Meeting! We’ll host this virtual event over Microsoft Teams and it will include information and resources for those back home and deployed as well as an opportunity to ask your questions. We’ll also have representatives from several helpful agencies and our Home Station Mission Command Team.
The Townhall will be held over Microsoft Teams. Please check for the link in the email provided to unit Soldiers and Family Readiness Group Leaders. If you don't receive the email, please contact your SFRG or message our page for link.

For our families, those who live on and off post. Anyone traveling through access control points will require ID or visitor pass April 28 - May 12
Heads up Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield! Trusted Traveler will be suspended April 28-May 12 to facilitate a traffic study. That means 100% ID card checks of all vehicle occupants entering post. If you need a visitor pass for anyone who does not have a DoD-issued ID card, plan ahead now! You can get visitor passes at both the Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield visitor control centers. Passes can be requested ahead of time. The VCCs are open seven days a week, 6 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information visit https://home.army.mil/stewart/about/Garrison/DES/visitor-information.

Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield will have an integrated protection exercise March 29 on Stewart and March 30 at Hunter. The exercise practices the installation's emergency response. During the exercise, you may hear the installation Big Voice activated stating EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE. First responders will responded during the exercise and motorists should remain alert and drive with caution. Follow the directions of law enforcement or medical personnel responding to the exercise if you encounter a road block. Noise simulators may be used. Installation services will not be impacted by the exercise.

258MCT Spartans said farewell to 1LT Luke Fryar and his wife Amber, thanking them for their countless contributions to the Company and SFRG. We wish them nothing but the best as the Fryar family moves to Fort Lee for the Logistics Captain's Career Course.

258MCT wished farewell to SGT Takory Coleman as he transitioned into civilian life. SGT Coleman has been an integral part of the team since his arrival in 2020 and we know his next chapter will be nothing short of excellent.
