Congratulations to rising junior, Army ROTC Cadet Kayla Chance on becoming a paratrooper in Airborne School located at Fort Benning. Chance was the only cadet chosen from 30 candidates among three universities.
The three-week course teaches soldiers the techniques involved in parachuting from airplanes and landing safely. The final test includes a non-assisted jump.

Pictured is Cadet Chance after her first of five jumps from a C-130 military aircraft. Kayla is majoring homeland security & emergency management. She is also a member of the SSU track & field team and the Georgia National Guard.

Amazing job from the Cadets applying the training they’ve learn throughout both Fall and Spring Semester.

Savannah Company Cadets (Consisting of Cadets from Savannah State University and Georgia Southern - Armstrong Campus) climbed 2071 steps on Wednesday 9 September in honor of First Responders, Military, and DOD Civilians. The Cadets paid respect to all who gave the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11/01.

Last week we had the pleasure of celebrating MSG Gonzalez's promotion. We are very excited for MSG Gonzalez's future and know this is a well deserved moment for him and his family.
