CH Kehmes Lands, a Chaplain assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3ID, shares why he serves in the .
“I was enlisted in the National Guard as a Supply Specialist from 1991 until 1994. I got out without any plans of ever coming back in because I didn’t like it. Then, I had a dream that I was back in the military. I woke up out of the dream and I had a premonition from God that told me to minister the people in the military. You have to have a masters degree in Divinity to be a chaplain. I didn’t even have an undergraduate degree. So I had to go to college. I got my degree in Christian Studies and then I had to go to seminary and get a masters in Divinity.
I love to teach. I love to be a part of training the next generation of Soldiers to be better, wiser and more spiritual hopefully.”
