Zach Ott serves as Director of Existing Industry at SEDA, where he supports the success and growth of organizations already operating in Chatham County. He works with companies across a range of industries to connect them with the resources they need to navigate challenges and expand.
After relocating to Savannah eight years ago, Zach was looking for an opportunity to become more involved in the community he and his family had come to call home. Economic development offered that opportunity, allowing him to work directly with the companies and organizations shaping the region.
For Zach, getting a behind-the-scenes look at local businesses is one of the most interesting parts of the job. He has enjoyed discovering companies doing unique work right here in Savannah, such as Mana Nutrition, a nonprofit manufacturer that uses Georgia-grown peanut products to help fight global malnutrition.
Outside of work, Zach and his family love to travel, whether they’re planning a big international trip or being tourists in their own town. For him, researching and planning the trip is half the fun.
Fun fact: His walk-up song would be “Move Along” by The All-American Rejects. 🎶
