We're over halfway there! 🧦 A huge thank you to our students, staff, families, and community members who have supported Socktober so far. Because of your generosity, Islands High School has collected 594 pairs of socks for Old Savannah City Mission! We're closing in on our goal of 1,000 pairs, and we need just 406 more pairs to get there. One package of socks may seem small, but together those donations provide comfort, warmth, and dignity to people in our community who need it most. 📅 The final day to donate is Friday, October 30. Can we reach 1,000 pairs? We think so! Grab a package on your next shopping trip and help us cross the finish line. 🧦 Current Total: 594 pairs 🎯 Goal: 1,000 pairs 💙 Remaining: 406 pairs Thank you for helping us make a difference, one pair at a time. Let's finish Socktober strong! 🦈💙

Congratulations to our Show Up Superstars for the week of October 12: Mrs. Ho & Mrs. Tisinger

Mrs. Ho and Mrs. Tisinger exemplify what it means to be invested and present. This fall, they attended all four Shark Attack games and Homecoming, consistently showing up to support our students and school community. Their presence at these events sends a powerful message to students: that the adults at IHS care about them, celebrate their successes, and want to be part of their experiences beyond the school day. Thank you, Mrs. Tisinger and Mrs. Ho, for your unwavering support of our students and for truly showing up in every sense of the word.

Congratulations to our Show Up Superstars for the week of October 5: Coach Gardner & Coach Cutter!!

Coach Gardner and Coach Cutter consistently demonstrate what it means to be flexible and supportive. Whether it's assisting a student, supporting a teacher, covering a need, or stepping into an unexpected situation, they are always willing to help, often on very short notice. Their positive attitudes, adaptability, and commitment to doing what is needed make them invaluable members of our school community. In addition to providing essential support inside and outside the classroom, they also invest their time in our students through athletics, coaching girls' basketball and cheer, respectively. Coach Cutter and Coach Gardner exemplify teamwork and service, and their willingness to step up whenever and wherever they are needed helps make IHS a stronger place for both students and staff.
