On May 4, 2026, Spc. Mikaela Bermudez from our Charlie Company "Shadow", Task Force Talon team, decided to "re-up" and reenlist in the Army; by extending her service, Bermudez helps to maintain a higher operational readiness which improves lethality and readiness across the force.

Recently during a visit from the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Poland, Lt. Col. William Liggett, commander of 1-3 Attack Battalion, Task Force Vipers, introduced five lieutenants to be promoted to the rank of captain by Marine Corps Gen. Christopher J. Mahoney. Mahoney thanked Task Force Vipers for letting him take part in their "tribe" by administering the Oath of Office to the newly promoted:

Capt. Michael Arnold
Capt. Ryan Sproull
Capt. Finnian Valle
Capt. Amelia Wassel
Capt. Thomas Wassel

Mahoney expounded on the expectations the rank of captain holds and extended his faith that these commissioned officers will make a measurable impact upon the Army, their Soldiers and the country they serve.
