It is with great sadness to announce that retired K-9 Ivan has passed away. Ivan was 12 years old and served the Savannah Police Department from 2012-2019. Ivan was a dual purpose (patrol/drug detection) Belgian Malinois. Ivan remained with his handler Cpl Drayton after he retired. Please keep Ret. Cpl Drayton and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

One year ago today our K-9 unit lost one of its own. We will never forget K9 Jas. His drive and dedication to work was one of a kind. The unit will never replace a dog like Jas. Please continue to keep his handler Corporal Lindsey in your thoughts and prayers as he works with his new partner Bolt.

Leo is 5 and Blu is 3. Happy Birthday!!
