We’re the owls from Georgia Southern University’s Center for Wildlife Education with a few words of wisdom before FROGWARTS takes over Georgia State Railroad Museum and Savannah Children’s Museum this Sunday, Oct. 25.

NO LEVITATING. Owls are the only ones doing that around here, us and the actual Quidditch pros. Keep your feet on the ground and brooms under control.

Magical forecast: Our nature connections tell us Savannah will have beautiful fall weather, with sunshine and temperatures in the low to mid-70s this Sunday. You're welcome.

Museums open at 11AM: Not our usual opening time to allow for festival setup. Don't blame us. We're owls.

Your train time is NOT your arrival time: Have a 1PM train ticket? Excellent. You can arrive when the gates open at 11AM and enjoy the festivities until 3PM.

Free parking. There's a free parking lot in front of the museum.

Here's what your ticket includes:
• Train rides and handcar rides
• Teddy Bear Hospital
• LIVE OWLS (obviously, the best part)
• Reptiles
• Quill writing, charms, candle-making
• A walk-in inflatable right whale from Tybee Island Marine Science Center. Become a whale wizard.
• STEAM activities with 18 community partners
• Model trains and more wizardly surprises

Wands are important: Custom-made wands are available for $12.

Food trucks will on site with provisions for sale.

A little magic goes a long way, especially with amazing Frogwarts community partners!

Thank you to Tybee Island Marine Science Center for bringing Whale Wizards to Frogwarts with their Walk-In Whale Smoke, an inflatable adult right whale (45x25 ft) - plus whale artifacts and a whale origami activity.

Also, watch for costumed characters from our community partner Savannah Children's Theatre strolling the grounds of Georgia State Railroad Museum and Savannah Children’s Museum.

Join us Sunday, Oct. 25, 11AM–3PM in Savannah for a wizardry day featuring train rides, reptiles, owls, wand-making, potions, hands-on STEAM activities, a Teddy Bear Hospital and more.

Georgia State Railroad Museum and Savannah Children's Museum will transport children to the magical world of wizards this month.

Coastal Heritage Society’s annual “Frogwarts: A Magical Adventure!” is on Sunday, Oct. 25, 11AM-3PM.

The popular event combines hands-on STEAM activities with the fantasy world of wizards. Activities include potion making; herbology; glow-in-the-dark arts; whale wizards with Tybee Island Marine Science Center's inflatable whale; train and handcar rides; plus food trucks.

Your Frogwarts train time isn’t your arrival time! Gates open at 11AM, so come early and enjoy a full day of activities with nearly 20 community partners. We’re so grateful to all our partners and volunteers for making this popular event possible!

Bring your favorite stuffie as Medical College of Georgia-Savannah students will be doing a Care of Magical Critters aka Teddy bear hospital.

Guests also can craft wooden wands with Lowcountry Turners and meet animals from Callaway Critters and Georgia Southern Center for Wildlife Education.

Savannah’s Frogwarts Fall Festival is almost here, so we’re stocking up on FUN! 👻

Our gift shop at Georgia State Railroad Museum and Savannah Children’s Museum is ready. Find fun like skeleton Pete the Cat, spooky storybooks, and more just in time for Frogwarts on Sunday, Oct. 25th, 11AM-3PM.

Looking ahead: we also have two beautiful hardback children’s books by authors from Marietta, Ga., who are coming to Savannah Children’s Museum next month!
