Fireball 2024.
Thank you to all of our employees past and present that make everything we do possible. We were honored with the FMH Leadership Award (Excellence in Action).
I have to say this was one of the most memorable moments of my career.

Everyone deserves the same EMS coverage. Current recommended changes can create EMS deserts. Look over Senate Bill 16. Let’s discuss!!!!

Important :If you are on Medicare; you must have Part B for ambulance transport to be covered.
You should also know if your plan requires a preauth for non-emergent ambulance transports.

Let’s have a real discussion. There are only 13 states and the District of Columbia that Emergery Medical Services are essential service. This means that emergency personnel are only essential in a small part of the US.
What does this mean? It means that the state government isn’t required to provide or fund the service or personnel.
So why would this be important? Why do we need to discuss it?
The general public expects the service to be readily available. But most services have to rely on reimbursement from insurance companies; and not all insurance companies cover ambulance transport.
Do you have coverage for both emergent and nonemergent ambulance transport if you need it?

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
If 911 had 100 dispatchers answering 100 phones. An accident happens on I-95; within a minute 250 cars pass the accident. 101 people make the decision to call 911; there will be a call unanswered. Remember this is only one incident and there could be multiple at the same time.

Thank you Jake Shemwell amd Amy Williams for doing what the community needs! Jake helped the officer push the car to the light and Amy keep them safe by driving the ambulance to protect from traffic. Great teamwork 💪👍🤗
