Metro Atlanta police horses donated to Savannah - ATLANTA (AP) — A mounted police unit in metro Atla UPDATE: Savannah-Chatham metro police say the four horses once used in Forsyth County, just northeast of Atlanta, are being donated to the Savannah department. The metro Atlanta agency discontinued its mounted patrol earlier this year.

The "Profile" photo is officer James McGrath ( horse's name unknown) . Taken around 1914 somewhere in downtown Savannah, possibly on Habersham Street. James's grandfather was also an officer with the city, and his last name was O' Keefe.
