Getting beyond the missing verbs and switching tenses, this post is a real head scratcher. Ibrahim has done more work on Ward's behalf than she bothered to do on her own race.

The City Republican Party does not approve this message. We do not endorse Democrats. We are recommending our members just skip this race on the ballot and vote for all of our other candidates

Its amazing the amount of money and ink that is being wasted on this carpetbagger Sara Rogerson . In 2010 she parachuted in here from somehwere in the Midwest and now she claims to know our community as well as Senator Jim Tedisco? Fat chance. Jim is at every event. He makes fried dough at Italian festivals, serves residents at charity events and his office does a stellar job with constituent services. He grew up here in our community and attended local schools. He also better represents the values of an average voter in the Senate District. Rogerson wants us to remain a sanctuary state. She does not support ICE arresting illegal immigrants, she supports legislation like the NY Heat act which will raise our utility bills even further, plus she is soft on crime and supports bail reform.

Rogerson would be a disaster in this seat.

Please get out and vote and bring your friends. We must reelect Senator Jim Tedisco-the stakes are too high to risk staying home

We have been asked who to support in the upcoming Council Election now that the former Republican candidate has withdrawn and endorsed Rachel Ward. Here is our statement on this situation

" It is sad that Schenectady voters were deprived of a real choice in this election due to the suspicious withdrawal of Sarajonie Ibrahim and her collusion with Democrat operative Brendan Savage and by extension Mayor Gary McCarthy.

" The two remaining candidates are both Democrats. Being on the Conservative line in a local election in Schenectady County means nothing at all about a candidate's political philosophy. It is instead a line regularly given to liberals in order for Conservative Party leaders to curry favor with their Democrat masters. We will never play that game.

" Whether its Rachel Ward or Justin Chaires who ultimately wins it will have no positive impact on our city. Neither has a plan to avoid the 42% McCarthy tax increase. Neither has a plan to make our city safer or more affordable. Its the same old playbook, and it doesn't matter one iota that one will back Council President Williams and the other will be a puppet for Mayor McCarthy. BOTH are dyed in the wool Democrats who share much more in common with each other than either does with a Republican or a real Conservative.

" Schenectady has been under one party rule since 2005. The only way to force accountability on the Democrat Mayor and Council is to begin to elect Republicans. While the actions of a disgruntled former party leader and an uninformed candidate prevented people having that choice this year we can assure you it will not happen in the future.

" The City GOP is committed to a new vision for our community that will reverse the failures of the past, not double down on them. Our advice to party members is to vote Republican for every single office that is contested this year and skip the Council race entirely. A choice between Democrats is no choice at all"

Low revenue? What he meant to say was taxes just aren't high enough for his massive spending. Hence his 42% tax increase

"Revenue" is down because all of that Federal money he was using to plug holes in order to hide the truth of the deficit went away.

No Democrat- Gary McCarthy or Carl Williams or any of them can be trusted with our cities fiscal health.

We got this woman on the ballot. Here she is last week making a deal with Mayor McCarthy's Chief of Staff Brendan Savage to support Democrat Rachel Ward.

More evidence that the former Republican Committee under Tom Kennedy was nothing but a wholly owned subsidiary of Gary McCarthy, used to do his bidding.

The current committee needs growth and development but would never sell its soul to McCarthy like Kennedy has done and continues to do

Today Republican Sarajonie Ibrahim endorsed Democrat Rachel Ward for city council and dropped out of the race herself.

Here she is on Thursday October 1, meeting with Gary McCarthy's senior staffer Brendan Savage over at Katie Obyrnes

Clearly a deal was struck. McCarthy wants Ward and not Chaires. Savage cut a deal through Tom Kennedy Ibrahim's campaign manager to get her to drop out so it strengthened Wards chances.

These guys aren't even sneaky enough not to get caught.

Ibrahim was a manchurian candidate from the start.

STATEMENT FROM CHAIRMAN MORLOCK

Regarding news that Sarajonie Ibrahim has quit the Council race and endorsed Rachel Ward.

"We are disappointed that there will be no Republican actively campaigning for City Council. We endorsed Ms Ibrahim and got her on the ballot. It was her choice to stop cooperating with the Committee on the campaign and we believe this result is a direct consequence of that decision.

Further, our Committee does not endorse Democrats-even if they pretend to be Conservatives. Therefore we do not support Ms. Ibrahim 's decision to endorse Rachel Ward and we will not follow suit.

We will focus instead on the State and Federal Races that impact our City, holding the Democrats accountable for their bad decisions and recruiting strong candidates for 2027 to ensure the people have a real choice moving forward."
