🚨 EVENT CANCELLATION NOTICE 🚨

Schriever Fire Department regrets to announce that our Trunk-or-Treat & Touch-a-Truck event scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, has been canceled due to a lack of participation.

We appreciate everyone who showed interest in the event and understand that organizing a successful community event takes the support and involvement of local businesses, organizations, and individuals.

Our goal was to provide a fun and memorable experience for the children and families in our community. Unfortunately, we did not receive enough participation to move forward with the event as planned.

We sincerely thank our community for its continued support and hope to have the opportunity to bring everyone together for future events.

Thank you for your understanding.

On May 20, 2026, Schriever Fire District responded to a reported structure fire in the 200 block of Gloria Street. Fire units arrived on scene within 4 minutes of dispatch.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a four-unit apartment complex with heavy fire showing from a second-floor apartment. Crews quickly deployed hand lines and conducted an aggressive fire attack to bring the incident under control.

Due to the rapid response and coordinated efforts of responding personnel, the fire was successfully contained to the apartment of origin. The remaining three units sustained only minor smoke and water damage.

We are thankful to report that no injuries occurred to occupants or firefighters during this incident.
