CEO Expo 2026

Capt. Tracy Holman and Lt. Ryan McCarver did an outstanding job representing the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office today.
They enjoyed talking with the students, answering their questions about law enforcement, and allowing them to see, handle, and learn about some of the equipment used in the field.

We always enjoy opportunities like this to connect with our local students, give them a better look into what law enforcement is all about, and hopefully inspire some future law enforcement officers along the way!

Thank you to the Kevin Dukes Career Center for allowing us to be part of such a great event!

Deputy John Moravits was recently presented with a Life Saving Award by Sheriff Harnen, Lt. Franks, and the Jackson County Commission — a very well-deserved honor.

Deputy Moravits responded to a welfare check where, upon arrival, he found an individual unresponsive and without a pulse. Without hesitation, he immediately began life-saving measures, performing CPR until medical personnel arrived and transported the individual to a nearby hospital.

Deputy Moravits’ quick thinking, courage, and selfless actions went far beyond the call of duty. His willingness to step in and act when every second mattered made a difference.

We are proud to recognize Deputy Moravits for his bravery, dedication, and commitment to serving the citizens of Jackson County. Congratulations, Deputy Moravits!
