Second and fifth grade buddies had a great time creating a mummy jar. This was an excellent opportunity to build community and support cross grade relations.

Lots of fun challenges in the playground. What titles can you give this great photo?

We had so much fun with boo buddies today. Each of our grade level buddies, dressed in similar Halloween colors , and did fun activities together.

Surprise in Mrs. Johnson’s class ! 🎉 Our first graders had a special mystery reader — their 4th-grade buddy (and big sister) dropped in to share a story. Moments like this build strong connections across grades. Did your child have a memorable mystery reader? Share below! 📖💬

Remembering a piece of Sequoya history: After years of wear and several damaged hands, we reluctantly retired our Artist in Residence project — but we kept the hands. If you have your hand and would like a small memento of this project, please reach out to the office. 🖐️

P.S. Check out the last photo — does anyone else remember the cafeteria being painted like that? Share your memories and photos below! 📸✨

Be the Change Kids Need.

Sequoya Donation Drive to Support the AZ Cancer Foundation for Children

Please help us provide hope and relief to children with cancer and their loved ones. With rising costs of food and basic necessities, the demand for support is greater than ever. They are especially in need of non-perishable food items, toys and activities for children and teens, and hygiene products. Donations can be brought to your homeroom classrooms. There will be a school-wide celebration if we donate at least 500 items. Let’s do this, Stallions!

Tomorrow is the last day for fall giving. A huge shout out goes to all of the amazing families who have supported our programs at Sequoya. You are what makes our school so special.

Did you help create one of the hands in our cafe display honoring the victims of 9/11? After 25 years — and many hands needing repair — we’ve made the difficult decision to remove the display. To honor those who worked on it, anyone who participated may retrieve their hand. Please reach out to the office if you’d like yours — all hands will be kept for 6 months.
