Grief Support Group at the Scottville Senior Center

The loss of a loved one can leave us feeling alone, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to move forward. Our Grief Support Group offers a welcoming and caring space where you can share your story, listen to others, and find comfort among people who truly understand.

There is no right way to grieve and no timeline for healing. Whether your loss is recent or happened years ago, you are welcome here. Together, we create a supportive community where emotions are honored, memories are cherished, and hope can begin to grow.

Join us for meaningful connection, gentle encouragement, and the reminder that you do not have to walk this journey alone on the first Thursday of each month at the Scottville Senior Center from 1:30pm - 2:30pm.

We made it to Ireland! It was a long trip getting here but so worth it! Two went to London first then met up with us in Dublin. After we got to our hotel, some napped, some rested, some had a snack then we had a Meet and Greet with our other travelers on the tour then dinner and a show! Dinner was amazing and the music and dancing was awesome! Now I'm pretty sure everyone is gonna get a really good night sleep. More tomorrow!

The October Session of Charity Sew will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at the Scottville Area Senior Center, 140 S Main St., Scottville, MI. The group will be making Christmas Stockings for Senior Center programs. Patterns and fabrics will be available but participants are welcome to bring their own. If possible, participants should bring their own sewing machine. Non-sewing jobs include cutting out projects, pressing and decorating the stockings.

The mission of Charity Sew is to provide support to various institutions and non-profits by making items to enhance the experience of their clients. The recipients' projects and participants vary from month to month. The group meets the third Tuesday of each month from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Participants may attend an entire session or any portion thereof. Pre-cut kits are often available for those who prefer to sew at home. Senior Meals are available to those who sign up (call 231-757-4705) by 9:00am the day of the session. Entrance to the Center is from the west parking lot at the back of the building.
