Earlier this month our lifeguards participated in a multi-agency drill with several other city agencies including the Long Branch Office of Emergency Management. The scenario involved simultaneous calls for late shift/after hours rescues. Great work to all lifeguards, firefighters and police officers who worked together to quickly handle the incident. Rapid response, effective communications, and multi-agency coordination play a vital role in emergency situations such as this. This was a great opportunity for our first responders to engage in a real-life scenario with multiple victims while keeping their skills sharp. Thank you to all who participated and continue to keep our beaches safe!
