🚨 Public Service Announcement 🚨

911 is FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY !!!
IF YOU DO KOT HAVE AN EMERGENCY PLEASE DO NOT CALL 911

Our emergency call takers are being inundated with nonemergency calls regarding the weather and bridges.

We know everyone is curious about the weather and the bridge closures, but please DO NOT call 911 to ask if it’s going to rain, when the weather will improve, or when the bridge will reopen !!!

At this time, we DO NOT have an estimated time for when the bridge will be open. As soon as updates become available, they will be shared through our official channels.

📞 911 is for emergencies only. Keeping our emergency lines clear ensures we can respond quickly to people who truly need immediate police, fire, or EMS assistance.

And one final note… if you’d simply like to chat about the weather, we’d kindly suggest calling a friend. ☀️🌧️ They probably have just as much information as we do—and they’ll appreciate the conversation a lot more than our VERY BUSY dispatchers.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please stay safe!

*******^ POWER OUTAGE UPDATE -*******

PLEASE DO NOT CALL 911 or The police line for power outage.

The Town is aware that we are currently experiencing power outages due to the extreme heat. Our amazing Public Works crew & Utility crews are actively working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as this situation is being addressed. Please stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor activity, and check on elderly neighbors, family members, and anyone who may need assistance during the high temperatures.

Again, it is very important not to call 911 or the police landline regarding power outages. We need to keep these lines as open as possible for emergencies and other police related calls especially during these high temperatures.

We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Thank you Ptl. Miranda and Dunkin for the treats and coffee 🤗
