Today is the 25th Anniversary of September 11th, 2001, where the Seaside Park Police Department honors those that served and gave sacrifice on a day that they were needed most. We also honor the many lives that were lost on this day where families were changed forever. A Ceremony of Remembrance was held on the J Street Lawn with the attendance of our officers, Station 45, and the many people of this community. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

On August 22nd, 2026 the Seaside Park Police Department welcomed their very first “Chief of the day”, Chief Sophia.

Chief Sophia started her morning off with a fresh batch of delicious donuts before attending to her new duties as Chief. Chief sophia spent the day inspecting vehicles and equipment, completing officer reviews and had a ride along with the Seaside Park Fire Department.

Chief Sophia completed her day with a thorough inspection of the arcade and games and tested out some “suspicious” ice cream. The Seaside Park Police Department thanks Chief Sophia for her service and hopes to see her again soon!

“Chief of the Day” allows us to interact with our residents and children, meeting officers and showing them how the first responders operate in Seaside Park.
