⚠️ Apple Health changes may affect some refugees, asylees and other immigrants in Washington State.

Beginning October 1, 2026, changes to Apple Health may affect your coverage. If you received a notice that your Apple Health is ending, don’t ignore it.

You may still qualify for other health coverage or assistance programs — but losing Apple Health does not automatically mean you qualify for another free health insurance program. Every person’s situation is different.

Our Familias Unidas & Everett Community Resource Center will be hosting the Lahai Health Clinic Thursday, October 8. Lahai Health will be offering medical services focused on blood glucose and high blood pressure screenings. Screenings are available to anyone 18 and over.

New Apple Health (Medicaid) rules have arrived in Washington state. We want to help our clients be as prepared as possible.
These groups of adult noncitizens will no longer qualify for Apple Health coverage:
• Refugees and asylum seekers
• Victims of domestic violence or human trafficking

Join us at our Familias Unidas & Everett Community Resource Center on October 8 at 12:00 p.m. for an informative workshop on labor rights in Washington State.

We will have a special guest from the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, who will provide general information, answer questions, and offer guidance on workplace protections.

This presentation will be in English and Spanish. We look forward to seeing you there to learn about your labor rights and how to access support services!

A heartfelt thank you to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland for their generous donation of household cleaning supplies to our Familias Unidas & Everett Community Resource Center! These essential items are helping families who may otherwise have difficulty affording them.

The Everett CRC connects individuals and families with practical resources and support, including food assistance, diapers, clothing through the Community Closet, health screenings, transportation assistance, L&I resources and referrals, health insurance enrollment, and more.

We’re grateful for community partners who help us make these resources available to our neighbors. 💙
