Peace to everyone impacted by the shooting deaths of three children and a teacher last week. Our hearts ache for all of Central Oregon, where LCSNW provided mental health care across four decades. Hard to fathom how a place of such breathtaking beauty could be struck by an act of such breathtaking violence.

Huge thanks to the Seattle Seahawks for welcoming Compass Housing Alliance back to the Spirit of 12 for a third straight season, and for their unwavering commitment to our community. 💚💙

Here's how Spirit of 12 works: volunteers from twelve local nonprofits sell 50/50 raffle tickets at Seahawks home games. Half of each jackpot goes to one lucky fan, and half supports the partner organizations. Thanks to a generous match from Allen Family Philanthropies, the winners' payout is covered, so the charities keep even more.

Our volunteer crew shined on October 4, ending the day with a big WIN for the Spirit of 12 and a big WIN for the Seahawks! 🎉

You may have seen this notice posted in some of our offices in Oregon. The federal government will require changes to OHP for many noncitizens, starting this month. In addition, some adults ages 19-64 will need to meet work or activity rules when they apply for or renew OHP, starting in 2027. New Apple Health (Medicaid) rules have arrived in Washington state. We want to help our clients be as prepared as possible.
These groups of adult noncitizens will no longer qualify for Apple Health coverage:
• Refugees and asylum seekers
• Victims of domestic violence or human trafficking

You think the North Pole is a busy place? Our "elves" in are busy all year long!

Santa for Seniors is a year-round program supporting isolated seniors in our communities—not just during the holidays. This fall, the Santa for Seniors team distributed 2,700 safety kits across nine counties, helping seniors stay prepared for emergencies and connected to important resources.

Putting together that many kits takes a community effort! A special thank you to LCSNW’s AmeriCorps Seniors Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Senior Companion Program (SCP), Finance staff, and community volunteers who each helped assemble the kits.

We’re grateful to everyone who helped make sure these important resources reached seniors in our communities! ❤️
