Prop 1 protects critical safety services including police, prosecutors, victim advocates and the courts.

Thank you to all of our Prop 1 supporters in this election season! We fought valiantly on the behalf of critical services, but in the end of the day we were not able to convince voters to expend resources in this difficult economic environment. Thank you for your countless hours of support and dedication to justice in King County!

1. Send an e-mail to everyone in your address book to get out the vote;

Oct. 28: King County and Metro’s transit union reach tentative agreement on new three-year contract. 10/29/2010

Phenomenal news - King County has secured an agreement with Metro transit workers that waives COLAs for 2011. Now over 90% of county employees have joined efforts to save costs and balance the county's budget by giving up pay increases. This agreement is further evidence of a combined effort to make a difference in this difficult budget environment for all the citizens of our county. Now let's finish our work and pass Prop 1!
