Committee in Support of AFIS (King County)

Vote YES for AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) on the King County ballot this fall! The current cycle expires at the end of 2012.

The Automated Fingerprint Identification System has been funded through a minimal property tax levy since 1986. Please vote to renew it to continue providing a technical platform for fingerprint identification services throughout King County, with links to other state and regional databases. Since 1986, AFIS in King County has solved more than 17,000 crimes based on fingerprint match alone.
