Help Build an Affordable Future for our Communities
At Homestead Community Land Trust, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to put down roots in a community they love. Our work creates and preserves affordable homes that allow households to build stability, wealth, and belonging while strengthening communities for generations.
We're currently seeking two exceptional professionals to join our team:
Community Development Partnerships Manager
Help cultivate the partnerships, community relationships, and collaborative initiatives that make equitable development possible. This role works alongside community-based organizations, public partners, and emerging leaders to advance anti-displacement strategies, community stewardship, and permanently affordable homeownership.
Chief Real Estate Development Officer (CREDO)
Lead a growing pipeline of nearly 500 homes advancing through construction, predevelopment, and early-stage planning. This is a hands-on executive leadership role responsible for guiding complex real estate projects, managing risk, and building the systems that will help scale permanently affordable housing throughout our region.
These positions offer an opportunity to be part of something larger than any single project: building communities where people can remain, thrive, and pass opportunity forward.
Homestead is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a workplace that welcomes and values people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

Real talk about zoning, policy, agency reform—and what it takes to get affordable homeownership built in Seattle.
This week we welcomed Seattle YIMBY (Yes In My Back Yard) to Woodland View in Phinney Ridge: 25 condominium homes, thoughtfully designed, with a mix of income-qualified and market-rate opportunities.
Engaged residents and advocacy groups like Seattle YIMBY play an important role in advancing the policy and funding changes needed to make more of this possible. We appreciated the chance to share a practitioner’s view of policies like MHA, actual NIMBY impacts, and what it really takes on the ground to build homes.
We had a great time sharing the stellar views, walking through the homes, and having honest conversations about what’s working, what’s not, and what it will take to do more of this, faster.
Many thanks to Vanessa Bohm for coordinating the event! Until next time, YIMBYs!

This GiveBig, we invite you to invest in something that lasts.
At Homestead, we are transforming lives and building resilient communities by creating homes that stay affordable forever. That means a home built today will continue to serve families 50, 75, even 100 years from now.
We are building and maintaining hundreds of homes in our region. From Tukwila, to Rainier Valley to Phinney Ridge, which includes our two newest buildings -- Nest and Woodland View --, our homes are creating lasting access to ownership in communities where it would otherwise disappear.
Keeping homes affordable forever does not end with the sale. It takes people, systems, and long-term stewardship to ensure that these homes are built, remain accessible, that continue to serve generations of homeowners. That’s the part your gift makes possible.
So, this GiveBIG, we’re asking for your support to ensure Homestead remains the steady, trusted builder and steward of community-owned land and affordable homes that our neighborhoods need.
Please make your GiveBig gift today and invest in land, homes, and affordability that will endure. Link below...
