United Indians of All Tribes Foundation United Indians of All Tribes Foundation, located at Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center.

In 1970, a small group of Northwest Native Americans and supporters led by the late Bernie Whitebear engaged in an occupation at Fort Lawton to reclaim a land base for Urban Indians living in and around Seattle. A twenty-acre site was eventually secured for this purpose in what is now Discovery Park. The Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center was completed by UIATF in 1977 and has become a hub of activity for Native peoples and supporters locally, nationally and internationally. The Foundation provides a wide variety of social, education and economic development opportunities, artistic and cultural activities with and for the Native community including:

Yรบbษ™ฤ is seeking Indigenous artists to be featured in our upcoming Artist of the Month Series. This initiative provides a welcoming and supportive space to showcase your creativity while connecting with community members and fellow artists.

Join us for a special screening of The Eternal Song, a powerful film that explores Indigenous knowledge, memory, relationships, and our connection to the living world. ๐ŸŒŽ

More than a film, this gathering is an opportunity to reflect, learn, and engage in meaningful community conversation. Following the screening, participants are invited to stay for a facilitated discussion exploring Indigenous knowledge, land-based learning, food sovereignty, cultural continuity, ecological stewardship, and the futures we are building together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day. We are deeply grateful for the support, the shared laughter, the conversations, and the opportunity to gather together as community.

The sound of the drums, the songs, the stories, and the familiar faces that filled our space are reminders of why this work matters. These moments of connection, culture, and community honor our ancestors while strengthening the relationships that carry us forward.

Indigenous Peoples' Day is more than a celebration. It is a reflection of our resilience, our living cultures, and the generations of people who continue to keep our traditions, languages, and teachings strong.

Thank you to our performers: George Killsinthebrush, Haandei i Jin and Tlalokan! To our volunteers who work so hard and for the amazing food from yours truly, Chef Nikki!

Thank you again for standing with us, celebrating with us, and helping create a day filled with joy, pride, and belonging!

Every year host Seattle Forest Week! Guided by Indigenous leadership at United Indians of All Tribes Foundation, these gatherings are an opportunity to reconnect with the land, strengthen community, and practice food sovereignty through collective care and stewardship.๐Ÿ™Œ

This season, we'll be tending the Daybreak Star Forest Garden, a living space that supports Elders, youth, and Indigenous-centered community programs while nurturing a future rooted in reciprocity, responsibility, and respect.
