Two stops, one direct route, built that way on purpose. The Monorail was designed in 1962 to move crowds fast between downtown and Seattle Center, and that same route still beats the traffic today.

See why the Seattle Monorail runs two stops: a fast, direct two-minute link between downtown Seattle and Seattle Center since 1962. %

Ask a Seattle local about the Monorail, and you'll probably get a memory, not a shrug. A Sonics game, a night at McCaw Hall, a first ride up the Space Needle. It's been part of the city since 1962, and it's still one of the easiest two minutes in Seattle.

See why Seattle locals love the Monorail: a fast two-minute ride linking downtown Seattle and Seattle Center, plus its history and commuter perks.
